Accounting

Simon Phelan currently teaches at Haileybury College. He has been a VCE Accounting Assessor for more than 15 years, was Chief Assessor for 7 years and was a member of the Examination Writing Panel for 6 years, including 2 as Chief Examiner.

Business Management

Blair Cooper has been teaching Business Management since 2003. He is currently Head of Year 12 at The Peninsula School and has over 15 years of commercial business experience.

Blair is also an exam assessor since 2004 and is a presenter at the annual Victorian Commercial Teachers Association conference, COMVIEW.

Blair's lecture style and content is well received by attendees and he receives exceptional feedback. He has been lecturing with us for several years.

Biology

Annette Williams has many years of experience teaching VCE Biology. (She has been teaching longer than most of you have been at school!) Annette is an active member of the biology network. Annette has always organised extra revision and study classes for her own students so she knows how to help you achieve your best.

She has taught in both state schools and in private schools. Annette was at Berwick Secondary College 2001 – 2007 and has now moved to Methodist Ladies' College. Annette has been part of the Monash Revision Lecture Series Program since its inception. Annette also lectures in biology at University level and supervises higher degree students. She is currently supervising one PhD student. Before moving into secondary teaching Annette carried out research in the biology field while lecturing at university. Annette has received excellent feedback from past students that have attended her session.

Chemistry

Ewa Biviano is a senior chemistry teacher at St. Bede's College Mentone and was involved in marking Yr 12 chemistry, unit 4 exams in 2006. She has a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry and Mathematics), a Masters in Science (Chemistry) and a Diploma of Education. Ewa has taught Chemistry for the past seven years and prior to that time she worked at CSIRO at the Mineral and Processing Engineering Unit, as an Experimental Scientist.

Ewa has presented the Chemistry Revision Lecture at Berwick for several years and has received excellent feedback from students attending her session.

English Exam Preparation and English Text Study

Ross Huggard is a senior English teacher and is currently a Middle School Leader at Cranbourne Secondary College. He has taught VCE English since its inception, and was actively involved in the development of the new VCE English Study Design. He is a senior assessor of VCE English and has been assessing for over 20 years. He has contributed to and written a range of popular VCE English textbooks. He regularly lectures VCE students around the state and presents professional development activities to English teachers. Ross Huggard’s VCE Revision Lectures have received excellent evaluations from students in previous years.

Further Maths

Luke Kerr has been teaching Further Maths for the last 4 years and has taught General Maths for 8 years. He is the Team Leader for Further Maths at Frankston High School where he also teaches Outdoor Education at Middle School level. Luke delivered Further Maths lectures in 2007 and received very good feedback from students.

Legal Studies

Romi Bennett has been teaching Year 12 teacher legal studies at St Francis Xavier College, Beaconsfield Campus for the past 5 years. She has a house co-ordinator role within the college for Years 10 to 12 and is a contributor to classroom activities on the VCTA website for Legal Studies (Victorian Commercial Teacher's Association).

Prior to teaching Romi practised as a Social Worker specialising in working with young people within the legal system.

Romi's previous VCE revision lectures have been very well received by past VCE students.

Maths Methods

Dawn Fernandez has been teaching Year 12 Maths in Victoria for 11 years and was the head of the Mathematics Department within her school for 9 years. Dawn co-authored a Mathematics series Years 7, 8, 9 & 10 text books, titled "Oxford Mathematics for Victoria".

Dawn has presented the Maths Methods lecture previously and has received great feedback from students.

Physics

Kalyan Chand has been a senior physics teacher for the past 20 years. He is currently teaching Year 12 physics at Kambrya College where he is also the science coordinator. Kalyan has been a VCE Physics Assessor for past seven years.

Kalyan has presented the Physics VCE Revision lecture previously at Berwick and has proved very popular with students receiving excellent reviews.

Health and Human Development

Jillian Tatterson has taught VCE Health & Human Development and has been a Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority script marker for more than 30 years. She currently teaches at Bayswater Secondary College where she is the years 7 and 8 Student Manager. Jill's previous VCE revision lectures have received excellent feedback from students.
