Dr Daniel Black

Dr. Daniel Black has a BA(Honours) from Melbourne University and a Ph.D. from RMIT University. His interest in animation stems from his research into technologies used to image or simulate living bodies. In addition to its use in entertainment media, animation is increasingly used in areas such as medicine, artificial life and simulated environments. His current research is focused on discovering what such ways of representing or simulating the body can tell us about dominant understandings of the relationship between our bodies, technology and information.
