3D Reconstruction of the Hennings Cyclorama

This pilot project, in collaboration with the State Library of Victoria, examines procedures which combine 3D model creation and archival research to reconstruct a virtual model of Melbourne based on the 1892 Hennings cyclorama. It is hoped that though the interplay of digital technology, art and historical cartography will inform the production of a visually rich and interactive application and point the way for further computer mediated reconstructions of Melbourne's history based upon the library's collections.
