Campus Research Coordinator

Associate Professor Lionel Frost (pictured above) was appointed in 2006 as Campus Research Co-ordinator for the Berwick campus.

Lionel’s role is to encourage and help Berwick researchers and create a high profile research culture on campus. In order to do this, researchers need to think beyond traditional discipline boundaries and consider ways of working productively with colleagues in other departments and faculties. Lionel has experience in working on large, cross-disciplinary projects, has a strong record of publishing research books and journal articles, and has had success in attracting competitive grants.

Lionel would be pleased to discuss any issues relating to research that are of concern to Berwick staff and HDR students. He also coordinates a series of workshops relating to research issues, and would welcome any suggestions as to the content of these workshops.

The Campus Research Coordinator plays a key role in stimulating a vibrant research culture with staff engaged in research, writing papers and textbooks, presenting at conferences, supervising honours and HDR students, and winning competitive grants. That culture is something that makes a university campus an exciting and creative place to work.
